Attorney Biographies

Clyde H. "Buzz" Wilson, Jr. heads his firm's national practice in computer, Internet and high technology litigation. He has personally handled cases and controversies in more than 40 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries.

Mr. Wilson has been featured in articles on computer litigation in such national newspapers as The Wall Street Journal, and The Christian Science Monitor, as well as regional and local newspapers.

John S. Jaffer is a graduate of Harvard College (A.B. Mathematics, 1970) and Harvard Law School (1974). From 1975-1977, he was Research Assistant to the Honorable John M. Scheb at the Second District Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida.

Mr. Jaffer joined the firm in 1977, and has primarily practiced civil and technology-related litigation. He does most of the firm's appellate practice, research and legal writing.

Kenneth L. Weiss, of counsel to the firm, leads the firm's Transaction practice in the areas of licensing, technology contracts, intellectual property, corporate taxation, business law, tax, estate planning, and probate.

Mr. Weiss is a graduate of the University of Florida at Gainesville (B.S., 1970; J.D., 1972; LL.M., in Taxation, 1975). He is a member of The Florida Bar and on the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.

David B. Newman, Jr., PhD acts as Senior Technical Consultant to the firm. He is a retired attorney who focused on patent law, copyright law, trademark law, and trade secret law.

Mr. Newman is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island (B.S. in E.E., 1970), Pennsylvania State University (M.S. in E.E., 1971; Ph.D. in E.E., 1974) and American University (J.D., 1983). He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi and Eta Kappa Nu.
