John
S. Jaffer is a graduate of Harvard College (A.B. Mathematics,
1970) and Harvard Law School (1974). From 1975-1977, he was Research
Assistant to the Honorable John M. Scheb at the Second District Court
of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida.
Mr. Jaffer joined the firm in 1977, and has primarily practiced
civil and technology-related litigation. He does most of the firm's
appellate practice, research and legal writing. He is the author
of the chapter "Practical Considerations" in the Florida
Appellate Practice manual, in the Continuing Legal Education series
published by the Florida Bar.
He was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1949, and has been a resident
of Sarasota since 1959. He is admitted to practice before the Florida
courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida,
and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
